Plectropomus pessuliferus - Cernia Corallina - Maldive

This site is dedicated to fishes of the reef, corals and other countless life forms that draw their way to exist in the warmth of the tropical seas and oceans. We like that world and find a great deal of satisfaction to capture it only in the pictures that we set with our cameras. We don't love indeed fishing: we think senseless killing so beautiful and various creatures, and somehow contribute to the progressive impoverishment of a world that is the last one and unique flap of paradise that man can still see.

Our photographs are not covered by copyright or rights of any kind: we think it's fair that if other fans, maybe less fortunate of us who occasionally find fishes in their own element, want to take and use one of our photos, they may do in absolute freedom. That is why the most recent photos aren't subtitled.

Chromis Viridis - Damigella Verde - Seychelles

The names of the fishes are drawn from a rich collection of Italian and foreign publications, also on the web, consulted in the subject. Each name - in many cases these are translations from English - is combined, in a special section, with the scientific nomenclature. It is also given at least the bibliography, useful for the possible insights into the matter. We also welcome any comments about the identification of individual fish: this is a world where the species and subspecies are numerous, and so the cataloguing may be different depending on the texts (generally Anglo-Saxon) consulted.
Chlorus Strongylocephalus - Pappagallo Rosso - Maldive
Lutjanus Monostigma - Azzannatore Maculato - Seychelles
Thalassoma Rueppellii - Labride di Klunzinger - Seychelles
Finally, thanks to Laura (http://www.lauragua.com) for giving us the first straight on building a website and to everyone will see and perhaps comment upon a work done for the pure satisfaction of sharing with others many beautiful things still living and increasing on our planet.
